Aanii (Hello), my name is Sunnese. I’m an enrolled member of the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians. I’m an artist with many talents. I bead, sew, craft, build, and design. I love to incorporate mix-media and natural fibers in my work. I’m always striving to create beautiful, authentic pieces as well as branding beautiful artwork on other products.

This gift/skill has been a part of my life since I was a very small child. It all started with my grandmother, who then passed it down to her children, and to her children’s children. And now I am able to continue our traditions and create pieces with my children. It has been an amazing journey, many lessons, many teachings, a lot of healing and beautiful artwork in return that fills our souls.

I am beyond excited to brand my artwork and create a platform to showcase and advertise my collection items. I appreciate all of those who supported this journey and given me the inspiration to expand and grow. Miigwech! (Thank you)
